Can I Pay You To Do That?

by Joy Monger

I did a presentation today for a group of students and faculty at a local private university.

At the end of my talk they all applauded.

I had forgotten that wonderful tradition of clapping at the end of a great class when the lecture went really well.

Who knows if they really liked what I had to say but it sure felt great to get some applause.

Maybe I could pay a group of philosophy students to join me in meetings and just break into spontaneous celebration. Goodness knows they’d be thankful for the job.
